when in doubt plant!

a month or so ago, i woke up at dawn and met my friend the young lion at his home. there, a cold early spring morning kept us on our toes and we bicycled to quail hill farm through the woods and down a hill. the day was splendid and on tap, was fertile soil gently purring for halved potatoes to bless its warmth and grow through the summer.

i had never planted potatoes before, an experience as old as the veggies themselves, high in the andes, brothers and sisters long ago rocked this same maneuver, an open palm, a halved tater and finally, a gentle embrace from the earth, a hug to grow.

on a warm spring day, when in doubt, plant.
