tea dot chai wallah
i'm sitting here a touch after noon in the west end of the t dot oh dot. across the way school is in session, proper school like grade school and the chillin are heading back from recess. the sounds of joy and playing and laughter and joking going inside till 3:30 or so when dismissal goes down.
i'm listening to mme. erykah badu while going through some much neglected photographs from this summer.
i've been here in canada for almost two weeks now and already many of the cultural differences between this fine land and the land beneath it are becoming clear. more to come on that in the coming days and months.
school, for me, is back in session too. class one was yesterday and tomorrow more to come and friday and on...
my house is starting to feel like a home and the diversity of my neighborhood in all aspects- food, religion, people, economics, age... is truly inspiring. who would have thought without seeing this fine ville, that it really held such magnificient and inspiring communities and cultures.
already, this city feels like a blessing.
while reviewing these scans i saw this little half photo half not. it was taken by Hamita in the Chopal area of Himachal Pradesh.
love and health to all...
