after a three week hiatus, across 110th street is back for the end of the southern hemisphere summer...

pete seeger & the bear. continued...

one element to the tale of the bear, moke lake, pete seeger and the open road that i had forgotten to mention, well, is that the story doesn't end there.

my neighbors and friends, rodrigo, larissa & clara, hit the open road south just a touch before the new year for a little five week or so family road trip to see new coasts, rios and snow capped peaks.  a couple days before they were to leave, i cycled up the road to drop off a couple maps and some thoughts on good campgrounds to seek out or stop at should the road lead this way or that...

i also mentioned the story of the bear and pete seeger. rodrigo kindly gave me one of his blank cds and i burned the bear a pete seeger album and wrote a little note. it got stuffed in the glove compartment of the road tripping car in case moke lake became a destination...

this week a text message appeared on my phone, rodrigo & fams were back, along with a little something from the bear... the message above.

so pete seeger, timely, beautiful, positive and siempre sharing his message of peace and love from moke lake and beyond...
